Hello and welcome
to Scatterwood Farm! Scatterwood Farm is a small establishment where my dreams of raising and training horses have come true.
Currently we are located on
2 1/2 acres and share the place with my parents and a small country daycare. I was the typical horse crazy girl, I collected
breyers and would stop at nothing to pet or feed any equine. I remember running around on the playground neighing and snorting,
dreaming of the day I would have my own horse farm. Now that I have the opportunity I am making the most of it and
going SLOW!
My goal is to breed quality ponies that excell in any show ring as well as behaving on an everyday trailride. I
strongly believe in raising ponies that have such qualities as excellent conformation, willing personalities, athleticism
and talent. Chincoteague ponies possess all of these qualities and more. That is why I have decided to use them as a foundation
to build upon
Chincoteague
Ponies come from a little island off of the coast of Maryland and Virginia, Assateague. They are hearty little ponies that
are on average about 13-15 hands (National Chincoteague Pony Association). They are mostly known for Marguirite Henry's "Misty"
